Recently, VIVAVISION announced the appointment of Dr. Jianming Cai as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Jianming Cai will comprehensively lead the clinical and medical teams, overseeing product pipeline strategy, planning and operation of clinical projects, and participating in formulating the company’s overall development strategy.
Dr. Jianming Cai holds a medical doctorate from Northwestern University in the United States and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California. He also successfully completed professional training as a surgeon. With decades of global experience, he has expertise in full-scale clinical development, drug launches, management, and business development, covering pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, and healthcare consulting across markets in China, the United States, Japan, and Southeast Asia. Before joining VIVAVISION, Dr. Cai held senior executive positions at several global pharmaceutical companies and led clinical teams. He served as Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at ZHK Ophthalmology, Vice President of PPD Inc. for the Asia-Pacific region and Medical Director, and Vice President of MDCO for the Asia-Pacific region. He has also held key roles at several globally leading pharmaceutical companies, including Bayer Schering Pharma AG, Merck & Co., Inc. (USA), Amgen Inc., and GE Healthcare Inc.
