Biotech Transformation NetworkRecently, MINGCHE (Suzhou) Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as MINGCHE) announced the completion of a multi-million-dollar Series A financing round. This round was invested by Nanjing Venture Capital, Oriza Holdings, and Chuanggu Capital. The funds will be used for the NMPA and CE registration of the core product, minimally invasive glaucoma drainage tube, as well as the research and development of hydrogel drainage devices and implantable intraocular pressure sensors. Additionally, to accelerate the progress of ICL lens R&D for refractive myopia correction, this round of funding will also be utilized for the construction of ICL lens R&D and pilot production facilities, along with clinical transformation projects.

MINGCHE, founded in 2021, is an innovative ophthalmic medical device company. Since its establishment, it has built a core team with 10-20 years of comprehensive industry experience, including the research and development, production quality, medicine, market, and operational management of Class III medical devices. According to the introduction by MINGCHE's official WeChat account, Dr. Dongni Ren has been deeply engaged in the fields of biomaterials and implantable medical devices for nearly 20 years. She has led two major projects, participated in 12 national-level projects and international cooperation projects, published 30 papers, and led her team to successfully develop multiple high-end medical device products that have reached internationally leading standards. She possesses outstanding innovation capabilities and extensive experience in the development and industrialization of implantable medical devices.

Core Project MembersDr. Wang KeminAs the Chief Technology Officer of MINGCHE, he has been engaged in the development and research of key materials related to photopolymerization for nearly 20 years, possessing mature experience in the development and industrial transformation of 3D printing photosensitive resins and biomedical materials. He has achieved several remarkable results in the medical device industry, owning 24 authorized national invention patents and publishing more than 30 SCI papers. He was named the 2024 Suzhou Industrial Park Science and Technology Innovation Leading Talent and the 2024 Gusu Innovation Leading Talent.

MINGCHE's product pipeline has fully covered anterior segment and posterior segment diseases of the eye, as well as minimally invasive treatment areas. Its core product pipeline includes Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) series products, micro-needle for retinal injection, phakic intraocular lens for refractive correction and accompanying systems, and vascular interventional micro-nano robots.

In addition, MINGCHE will integrate platform technologies such as MIGS, sensors, ICL, micro-nano robots, and microneedles to develop a combination product line covering more eye diseases, becoming a platform company that provides integrated solutions from diagnosis, treatment to chronic disease management.
