Funds will drive the company's core project———Autologous TCR-T Cell Therapy Targeting MAGE-A4 Positive Solid TumorsCTC127 Enters First-in-Human Phase I Clinical Trial. The trial is led by Professor Antonia Busse of Charité – Berlin University of Medicine and conducted in collaboration with eight top oncology centers across Germany. It plans to recruit patients with various advanced MAGE-A4 positive solid tumors, including lung cancer, bladder cancer, gastroesophageal cancer, ovarian cancer, and head and neck cancer. CTC127 is based on the company's proprietary multifunctional engineering.Toolbox, which can functionally "armor" T cells, enhancing their anti-tumor activity, persistence, and tolerance within the solid tumor microenvironment.

At the same time, the company has utilized its first-in-class allogeneic TCR-T cell platform to achieve complete remission of solid tumors in animal models and will further advance it to a clinical trial-ready state. In addition, the company also plans to expand this best-in-class proprietary toolbox to in vivo T-cell therapy applications.

Dr. Felix Lorenz, CEO of Captain T Cell, stated"Despite the severe financing environment, we have gained extensive support from investors, which fully demonstrates the competitive advantage of the company's next-generation T-cell therapy platform in terms of best-in-class and first-in-class. It also enables us to advance these therapies for the benefit of cancer patients. Our best-in-class autologous project CTC127 is about to enter a fully funded phase."TOMATA Clinical Trial, the first-in-class allogeneic TCR-T platform is also moving towards clinical readiness. We are optimistic that this best-in-class Toolbox technology will gain clinical validation in the upcoming trials and subsequently expand to off-the-shelf treatment solutions."

Dr. Andreas Schmidt of Springboard Health Angels said, "We are delighted to co-lead the latest round of financing for Captain T Cell. The company’s core project, CTC127, has the potential to offer an effective and safe treatment option for solid tumor patients in urgent need of new therapies. With funding secured and extending through Phase I readout, Captain T Cell is well-positioned for a significant value inflection point."
Dr. Theis Terwey, Chief Representative of Pluton Asset Holding AG, commented: "MAGE-A4 is a commercially validated and risk-controllable target. Existing preclinical data convincingly demonstrate that Captain T Cell’s Toolbox enhancement strategy is conceptually superior to currently marketed solid tumor cell therapies, providing strong evidence for the company to achieve competitive efficacy in large indications."
