December 8,Tibet Rhodiola Pharmaceutical Holding Company(600211.SH) announced that its product, Xin Huo Su, has been continuously included in the National Medical Insurance Drug Catalog. According to the "National Basic Medical Insurance, Maternity Insurance and Work-related Injury Insurance Drug Catalog (2025)" released by the National Healthcare Security Administration and the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security on December 7, injectable recombinant human brain natriuretic peptide (trade name: Xin Huo Su), produced by the company's wholly-owned subsidiary Chengdu Nuodikang Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., remains in the medical insurance catalog and has been adjusted from the negotiated drug section within the agreement period to the regular catalog.
Notably, according to the relevant rules of the medical insurance catalog, when a drug is transferred from the "negotiated drugs within the agreement period" to the regular directory, it means that its medical insurance status changes from a "contract drug" requiring periodic negotiation for renewal to a "regular Class B drug" that is stably included in the medical insurance catalog for the long term. For companies, this eliminates the need to face frequent price-cutting negotiations during the agreement period in the future.
Specifically, regarding the product itself, the announcement introduced that Neucardin is a Class 1 new biologic drug independently developed by the company. As a genetically engineered drug for treating acute heart failure, it can quickly improve the symptoms and signs of heart failure in patients, enhance the quality of life for patients, and reduce the hospitalization costs and shorten the length of stay associated with heart failure treatment. At the same time, the technical specifications of this drug are internationally leading, providing strong guidance for the company's research, development, and production in the field of genetically engineered drugs.
Relying on its excellent clinical value, Newvasin has not only gained widespread market recognition but also become a key contributor to the company's performance. According to the announcement, in 2024, the product’s sales volume reached 7.0083 million vials, with revenue of 2.433 billion yuan; in the first half of 2025, sales volume was 4.1672 million vials, generating revenue of 1.456 billion yuan. It is reported that compared to the vast heart failure market, the current penetration rate of Newvasin is still relatively low, indicating significant room for future growth. After being transferred to the regular catalog, more stable pricing will further strengthen expectations for the company’s long-term performance growth.
Not limited to New Activated Hormone, Zorifertinib, a new drug under the subsidiary Alpha Biopharma, has also been included in the national medical insurance catalog for the first time. The negotiation agreement is valid from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2027. Zorifertinib is the world's first drug specifically targeting late-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with central nervous system (CNS) metastasis to conduct registration clinical trials and achieve significant results. It is also currently the only epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) explicitly designed as a substrate that avoids efflux by blood-brain barrier transport proteins. As a new drug with prominent clinical value in the field of non-small cell lung cancer, its clinical significance is expected to accelerate commercially after being included in the medical insurance.
