Recently, Dr. Zheng Biao joined Shanghai Hengrun Dasheng Biotechnology Co., Ltd. ("Hengrun Dasheng"), overseeing research and development and medical affairs, responsible for the full-process management of new drug development from exploratory research, preclinical studies to clinical trials. With over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the field of immunotherapy (e.g., large-molecule antibody drugs, cell therapy drugs), Dr. Zheng has deep insights and extensive expertise in drug development, the international pharmaceutical environment, market access, and commercialization.
Dr. Zheng Biao graduated from the Department of Medicine, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, with a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Medicine; he subsequently obtained a Master's degree in Immunology from Fudan University School of Medicine in Shanghai and a Ph.D. in Immunology from King's College London.
Previously taught at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Duke University Medical Center; later served at Baylor College of Medicine in the United States as a tenured professor in the Department of Pathology and Immunology. Dr. Zheng Biao has an extensive list of academic publications, with many papers published inNatureAndSciencein top-tier journals around the world.
Dr. Zheng Biao joined the GSK R&D Center in 2010, responsible for immunology research; from 2015, he served as Global Vice President of Johnson & Johnson, in charge of innovative drug development in the immunology field in the Asia-Pacific region, including immuno-oncology and autoimmune diseases. Before joining Shanghai Hengrun Dasheng Biotechnology Co., Ltd., he served as Chief Scientific Officer of Icarus Biopharma and CEO of BRL Medicine Inc.
