International Innovation Ecosystem Think Tank —— CYZONE recently officially released the "2025 CYZONE 100 Future Unicorns" list. High-growth companies from cutting-edge sectors such as artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, and biotechnology were selected. This list, which has been continuously published for 16 years, has become an important barometer for observing the evolution of China's innovative forces. Juncell Therapeutics, which focuses on innovative cell therapies and novel drug development for solid tumors, was successfully selected, becoming a highly anticipated rising star in the biotechnology field.

In this selection, CYZONE focused on the "long-term growth logic" and evaluated companies based on five core dimensions: founding team, technological barriers, commercialization capabilities, capital attractiveness, and growth momentum. After multiple rounds of in-depth research, expert reviews, and data verification, 100 "future unicorns" with the most leapfrogging potential were ultimately selected. Among the predominantly AI and hard-tech hardware-focused list, Juncell Therapeutics stood out as one of the few enterprises deeply engaged in biopharmaceutical innovation. According to the list, the average valuation of companies in 2025 has reached 2.57 billion yuan, 93% have started commercialization, 70% have achieved global layout, and 83% of the products have entered the listing or scaling stage; AI-related companies account for up to 35%.

Since its establishment nearly six years ago, the core strategy of Juncell Therapeutics has always revolved around TIL therapy. Currently, Juncell Therapeutics has more than 10 R&D pipelines, including GC101, the world's first natural TIL therapy in pivotal Phase II clinical trials that requires no lymphodepletion chemotherapy and no IL-2 administration, and GC203, the world’s first non-viral vector gene-modified TIL therapy in Phase I clinical trials. These pipelines have demonstrated excellent clinical efficacy across more than 10 different types of advanced solid tumors, with complete tumor clearance observed in multiple patients, some of whom have remained disease-free for over four years. Notably, the company is rolling out the world’s first endogenous TIL therapy, which is expected to shift TIL therapy from a "highly personalized" model to an "off-the-shelf-like" paradigm, significantly reducing production costs, shortening patient waiting times, and improving the accessibility of TIL therapies.

Beyond technology, Juncell Therapeutics is simultaneously advancing the industrial implementation. In 2024, Juncell Therapeutics has completed the construction of a new TIL cell industrialization base in Jiading, Shanghai. The base, with a total area of over 16,000 square meters, serves as the company's production center, quality center, data center, and operations center. In November 2025, Juncell Therapeutics closed its Series C financing round at 137 million yuan. Among the investors are several professional institutions with long-term expertise in the life sciences field, highlighting the company’s competitiveness in terms of "capital attraction."
