Shanghai-based ophthalmology company, ArcticVison ("Arctic Vison"), announced a strategic agreement with Hangzhou's ophthalmic innovative medical device enterprise MDCO. The plan is to integrate MDCO's ophthalmic device business into the ArcticVison system, promoting the joint construction of an integrated ophthalmic pharmaceutical and device innovation platform on a global scale.

This strategic merger will fully integrate MDCO's high-end intraocular lenses (IOL), phakic lenses (implantable contact lenses), and refractive instrument platforms into Arctic Vision's global innovation system. After the integration is completed, the two parties are expected to form a leading comprehensive pipeline in the industry: including Arctic Vison's innovative capabilities in drugs and devices for retina and ocular surface, as well as MDCO's core advantages in IOL and refractive crystal R&D, design, manufacturing, and engineering technology.

Under the framework of the agreement, MDCO's ophthalmic device business will be integrated into Arctic Vision as part of the unified operating entity; both teams will continue their existing operations in Shanghai (biopharmaceutical R&D, regulatory affairs, and operations), Hangzhou (Class III medical device R&D, production, and commercial management), and California (R&D and global collaborations) to further develop core businesses.
