During the Spring Festival holiday, Juventas, a leading biopharmaceutical company in China, installed four new production lines.Full production capacity reached on the 27th.
During the just-passed Spring Festival holiday, Juventas utilized the production halt interval to install four new production lines, adopting a method of completing and inspecting one line at a time.Before the Spring Festival, the local Binhai High-Tech Zone Management Committee, in conjunction with the municipal drug regulatory authority, made arrangements in advance, and began to inspect each item one by one from the sixth day of the Lunar New Year.Today, the facility has reached full production capacity. Each line corresponds to a clean room, where processes such as cell collection, sorting, formulation, and cryopreservation are carried out in sequence. The facility is accelerating production of targeted drugs customized for three hospitals in Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Beijing. These drugs are expected to come off the production line in 8 to 10 days. In 2023, Juventas' first targeted drug was launched for the treatment of adult leukemia. In early last year, the company collaborated with more than ten clinical centers in China to apply for an extension of the drug’s therapeutic scope to include lymphoma. After receiving approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in November, orders surged nearly threefold.
Heading for the first quarter, enterprises are now planning to produce targeted drugs developed with rapid preparation new technologies next month, which will mainly treat blood diseases caused by autoimmune deficiencies.
