Huahai Pharmaceutical's Subsidiary Enters into Global Collaboration and Licensing Agreement for Novel Monoclonal Antibody Candidate

Gelonghui March 27th丨Huahai Pharmaceutical(600521.SH) announced that its subsidiary under its control, Shanghai Huaota Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd.Huaota BiopharmaceuticalShanghai Huaota Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. ("Huaota") and Almirall, S.A. ("ALM") have reached a global research collaboration and licensing agreement (the "Agreement") for the development of monoclonal antibody candidates targeting new indications with multiple potential applications (including medical dermatology) (collectively referred to as the "Project" and "Products"). Under the Agreement, Huaota retains the rights to develop and commercialize the Project and Products in China, while ALM holds the rights for global development and commercialization outside of China. Leveraging its innovative R&D platform, Huaota will conduct relevant research up to obtaining molecules with clinical proof-of-concept. ALM will pay Huaota an aggregate amount of up to 340 million US dollars in upfront, development, and commercial milestone payments, along with corresponding tiered royalties.
