PharmaCircleMonitoring Shows: On April 23, 2026, Servier, an independent multinational pharmaceutical group controlled by the foundation, announced that it had successfully completed the public tender offer for all outstanding common shares of Day One Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: DAWN).
Day One Biopharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing targeted therapies for patients with severe diseases across all age groups. The per-share consideration for this acquisition transaction is $21.50. This acquisition will further solidify Servier's leading position in the low-grade glioma field by introducing a commercially available drug and a pipeline of rare cancer-focused investigational products, strengthening its overall strategic advantage in the oncology field.
Olivier Laureau, Chairman of Servier Group, stated: "This acquisition is a key milestone under Servier's 2030 strategic objectives, strengthening the group’s strategic position in rare cancers, particularly pediatric low-grade glioma. The integration of Day One's scientific research and clinical development capabilities will comprehensively enhance the group’s long-term innovative R&D capacity, facilitate cutting-edge scientific achievements, and provide effective treatment options for children with rare cancers and their families."
Day One's core product includes OJEMDATM (tovorafenib), a drug approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of pediatric low-grade glioma, the most common type of brain tumor in children. Day One has completed the commercial launch of this drug in the United States and licensed the rights outside the U.S. to Ipsen.
This transaction also enriches Servier's R&D pipeline in the oncology field, covering multi-stage projects under investigation from early clinical to Phase III clinical trials. In addition to expanding the multi-indication clinical exploration of tovorafenib, Day One Biopharmaceuticals' pipeline also includes a novel antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) Emi-Le (emiltatug ledadotin) (B7H4), and an investigational therapy targeting rare cancers, DAY301 (PTK7, Chinese pharmaceutical company).MabCare TherapeuticsAuthorization).
