PharmaCircle DataMonitoring Shows: On May 20, 2026, U.S.-based Gilead Sciences expanded its collaboration with South Korea's integrated pharmaceutical company Yuhan Co., Ltd. The two parties reached an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) supply agreement worth 210 billion Korean won (approximately 140 million U.S. dollars). Specific product details were not disclosed.


The agreement is valid until the end of 2027, and relevant information was disclosed this week through a regulatory announcement (in Korean) by the Korea Exchange (KRX).


This transaction amount accounts for 9.6% of Yuhan's revenue in 2025. Yuhan has two API production bases in Korea and is experiencing rapid business growth, with overseas sales in the first quarter of 2026 increasing by 21% year-over-year.

Gilead and Yuhan have had multiple CDMO API collaborations in the past.
