Today (July 11), Ipsen（Ipsen）FORESEEN announced the exclusive global licensing agreement for FS001.FS001 is a first-in-class potential antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting a novel tumor-associated antigen that is overexpressed in many solid tumors and plays a key role in tumor proliferation and metastasis.
This agreement grants Ipsen the exclusive rights to develop, manufacture, and commercialize FS001 globally.FORESEEN will receive up to $1.03 billion in funding, including upfront payments, development, regulatory, and commercial milestone payments., as well as global sales tiered royalties after successful development and regulatory approval.According to the terms of the agreement, Ipsen will be responsible for Phase 1 preparation activities, including submitting the Investigational New Drug (IND) application as well as all subsequent clinical development, manufacturing, and global commercialization activities.
FS001 is an ADC that has demonstrated preclinical efficacy in a variety of solid tumors and has shown good safety and a wide therapeutic window in animal studies.FS001 is in the final stage of preclinical development.FS001 utilizes an innovative, stable, and cleavable linker conjugated with a highly potent topoisomerase I inhibitor.FS001 has also demonstrated promising preclinical efficacy in various drug-resistant cancer models.
