Professional Investment Institutions for Industrialization of Scientific and Technological Achievements
Recently, ROBO Medical, the world's first company to obtain regulatory approval for a digestive endoscopy surgical robot, officially announced the successful completion of tens of millions of RMB financing round. This round was led by Tsinghua Innovation Ventures, followed by industry investor Boyue Tiancheng, with Siche Consulting acting as the long-term exclusive financial advisor.
The proceeds from this financing round will be primarily used for the nationwide clinical implementation of its core product, the EndoFaster® digestive endoscopy surgical robot, the research and development of its next-generation product EndoDreams, the construction of an intelligent production base and supply chain optimization, as well as international market certification and hospital access promotion.

On January 20, 2026, the National Healthcare Security Administration (NHSA) officially issued the " Guidelines for the Establishment of Medical Service Price Items for Surgical and Therapeutic Auxiliary Operations (Trial)", establishing for the first time at the national level a unified pricing management framework for surgical robots. This policy completely ends the previous situation of inconsistent fee schedules and chaotic item nomenclature across different regions and is widely recognized by the industry as a milestone event marking the transition of the surgical robot industry from the "technology validation phase" to the "large-scale commercialization phase."
This policy establishes a new pricing system based on clinical value. According to the degree of surgical robot participation in procedures, three tiers of graded fee items are established: "navigation, participatory execution, and precision execution." A coefficient-based pricing mechanism directly linked to the price of the primary surgery is implemented, while guiding local authorities to set reasonable minimum and maximum caps. The policy explicitly states no differentiation between domestic and international brands; all products receive corresponding fees based on their actual clinical value, providing a fair competitive platform for Chinese domestic innovative enterprises. Following the national policy release, Hunan Province and Guangdong Province have rapidly implemented graded fee standards for surgical robots, with more provinces currently advancing this work.
As the world's first approved and currently the only domestically approved digestive endoscopy surgical robot enterprise in China, ROBO Medical has become one of the biggest beneficiaries of this policy dividend. The national unified project establishment guidelines have, for the first time, clarified the basis for charging fees for digestive endoscopy surgical robots. The company's EndoFaster® system, which enables precise tissue retraction and stable exposure of the surgical field during endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) procedures, falls under the "participatory execution" or even "precision execution" tiers, qualifying for higher pricing coefficients. The unified fee schedule resolves the "economic feasibility" issue for hospitals considering the adoption of surgical robots, as hospitals no longer need to apply separately for fee items, significantly shortening the product access cycle.
ROBO Medical is fully capitalizing on the national policy support for the innovative development of high-end medical devices. Following product approval, the company has rapidly advanced medical insurance access and product registration in provinces and cities across the country. To date, ROBO Medical has successfully achieved product access in all 31 provincial-level administrative regions in China, with its commercialization progress far exceeding industry expectations.
Natural orifice surgery, particularly digestive endoscopy surgery, offers significant advantages over traditional laparoscopic gastrointestinal procedures, including earlier intervention in disease treatment, smaller trauma, faster recovery, and shorter hospital stays, fully aligning with the real needs of current clinical development. The commercialization achievements of ROBO Medical have also cross-validated, from a market perspective, the substantial clinical value that the EndoFaster® product provides to hospitals and physicians.
EndoFaster® was officially approved by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) on March 12, 2025, becoming the world's first approved and marketed digestive endoscopy surgical robot. The product features a flexible robotic arm designed to be mounted externally on a digestive endoscope. Through a master-slave control mode, it achieves 4-degrees-of-freedom (4-DOF) motion of the end effector, enabling precise control of grasping position and direction, thereby significantly reducing surgical risks.

As the physician's "intelligent third hand," EndoFaster® is capable of precisely retracting tissues and stably exposing the surgical field during complex digestive endoscopy procedures such as endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), effectively reducing the risk of perforation caused by hand tremors. Through its standardized operating procedures and intelligent feedback system, the product significantly shortens the physician's learning curve and lowers the operational threshold for primary-level hospitals, providing strong support for promoting the dissemination of ESD technology to county-level hospitals and improving the coverage rate of early detection, early diagnosis, and early treatment of early-stage gastrointestinal cancers in China.

EndoFaster®ESD Usage Scenarios
ROBO Medical's products and related technologies have gradually received high recognition from leading academic experts in the field of digestive endoscopy both in China and globally.
On the international stage of digestive endoscopy, ROBO Medical has recently made successive appearances at Digestive Disease Week (DDW) in the United States, the Annual Meeting of the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society (JGES), and the ESGE Days (Annual Meeting of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy), attracting widespread attention. Notably, at the 111th JGES Annual Meeting held from May 8 to 10, 2026, Professor Hisao Tajiri, Honorary Chairman of the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society and Past President of the World Endoscopy Organization (WEO), introduced ROBO Medical's EndoFaster® as a representative example of next-generation endoscopic technology in a plenary session keynote speech.
