Philips ventilators encounter issues.
Recently, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an announcement recalling several models of ventilators produced by Philips with the highest level recall order. These products are mainly used to treat obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. However, due to the failure of the ventilator's malfunction alarm, it may cause treatment interruption or failure, and could even lead to serious consequences such as hypoventilation, hypoxemia, hypercapnia, respiratory failure, or death in critically ill patients.
According to media reports, two of the currently recalled products have already entered the Chinese market.
