Medtronic to Showcase Nearly 100 Innovative Medical Technologies at Its Seventh CIIE Appearance

On July 24, 2024, at the pre-exhibition supply and demand matchmaking meeting of the 7th China International Import Expo (hereinafter referred to as "CIIE"), Medtronic, a global medical technology company, announced that it would showcase nearly 100 innovative products and solutions at this year's CIIE. This year marks the 75th anniversary of Medtronic’s global innovation and the 35th anniversary of its development in China, continuing with the theme "Further Progress, Extraordinary Together." At this year’s CIIE, Medtronic will debut seven new innovative products for the first time, while more than ten popular products from previous expos will also be on display again. To meet the needs of life, Medtronic rides the winds of the CIIE to bring innovative, high-quality, and affordable healthcare solutions to more Chinese patients, jointly building health and creating extraordinary changes.

The CIIE is an important platform for gathering global innovative achievements and linking world scientific and technological results. As a "full-time participant" in the CIIE for seven consecutive sessions, this year, Medtronic will showcase nearly a hundred innovative products and technologies in four major medical fields: cardiology and vascular, medical surgery, neuroscience, and diabetes.

At the pre-exhibition supply and demand docking meeting, three debut products were unveiled in advance, including the Asia-Pacific premiere — the Percept RC implantable rechargeable deep brain stimulation (DBS) system for treating Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, dystonia, and epilepsy. Equipped with BrainSense technology, it can capture brain signals while providing treatment. Additionally, supported by "cutting-edge" long-life and fast-charging battery technology, as well as the SenSight directional lead system with sensing capabilities, it facilitates personalized treatment solutions. Another Asia-Pacific premiere — the SynchroMed III implantable drug infusion pump delivers medication directly into the intrathecal space via a catheter to precisely manage cancer pain, other chronic pain conditions, and spasticity.

China Debut - Nitron CryoConsole Cardiac Cryoablation System, a new generation cryoablation device that works with balloon and focal cryoablation catheters to treat various types of tachyarrhythmias. This is a highly intelligent cardiac electrophysiology surgical device capable of capturing cryoablation procedure data in real time and automatically exporting ablation summaries and data curves post-operation, supporting doctors in their research. The device has built-in storage for the surgical habits and preference data of up to 8 operators. Additionally, the product comes with optional remote control handles or foot pedals, allowing doctors to operate synchronously, simplifying the workflow in the catheter lab, and greatly enhancing the convenience of the procedure.

From the World to China, the CIIE Continuously Accelerates the Localization of Global Innovation Achievements. In the medical field, many CIIE exhibits have moved from booths to clinical settings and reached patients, thanks to the powerful spillover effects of the platform.
