Hansoh Pharma (03692) announced that on August 8, 2024, its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Hansoh (Shanghai) Health Technology Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Hansoh Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Hansoh Biomedical Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (collectively referred to as the “Licensees”), entered into a licensing agreement with Guangzhou Lupeng Pharmaceutical Company Limited (Lupeng Pharmaceutical).

According to the license agreement, the licensee has obtained the exclusive license from Lupeng Pharmaceutical to develop and commercialize LP-168 in China (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan). The licensee will be responsible for the research and development, registration, production, and commercialization of all non-oncology indications of LP-168 in China. The licensee will pay a total of no more than 729 million RMB as upfront payment and potential milestone payments for research and development, registration, and sales-based commercialization. Additionally, tiered royalties based on future net product sales will be paid at a maximum double-digit percentage.

It is reported that LP-168 is a small molecule Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibitor (BTKi). As of the date of this announcement, Lupeng Pharmaceutical is conducting multiple clinical studies on LP-168, with its highest stage of development in China being a pivotal Phase II registration clinical study for tumors.
