Xinhua News Agency, Beijing (reported by Zhang Zhaohui) -- On August 8, Hansoh Pharma announced that it had signed a cooperation agreement with Lupeng Pharmaceutical regarding Lupeng Pharmaceutical's self-developed next-generation BTK inhibitor, LP-168. According to the agreement, Hansoh Pharma has obtained the rights for the research and development, registration, production, and commercialization of all non-oncology indications of LP-168 in China (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan).

Hansoh Pharma will pay Lupeng Pharmaceutical an upfront payment and potential milestone payments for research and development, registration, and commercialization based on sales, totaling no more than 729 million yuan, as well as tiered royalties of up to double digits based on future net product sales.

LP-168 is a small molecule Bruton's tyrosine kinase inhibitor (BTKi). To date, Lupeng Pharmaceutical is conducting several clinical studies on LP-168, with its highest stage of development in China being a pivotal Phase 2 registrational clinical study for oncology.

Hansoh Pharma stated that, through this collaboration with Lupeng Pharmaceutical and the introduction of LP-168, the company will further expand its pipeline portfolio for treating autoimmune diseases, thereby providing more medication options for patients with chronic autoimmune conditions.
