Gelonghui August 15 | AstraZeneca announced on Thursday that the U.S. regulatory agency FDA has granted its重磅 cancer drug Imfinzi "FDA Priority Review Status" for use in the limited-stage small cell lung cancer patient population in the United States. The official decision date for the FDA's regulatory decision is expected to be in the fourth quarter of 2024. Data shows that the drug improved overall survival and progression-free survival in patients with a certain type of lung cancer who did not show active disease progression after receiving platinum-based concurrent chemoradiotherapy. AstraZeneca's drug research team also stated that Imfinzi was recently granted "Breakthrough Therapy Designation" by the FDA under the same circumstances, which will help expedite the FDA's regulatory review process.
