In Fuwai Structural Innovation Channel, Professor Hu Xiaopeng from Fuwai Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, shared the details of the recent successful global first clinical implantation of the TruGamma® system. The surgery was collaboratively completed by the structural heart disease team at Fuwai Hospital in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team. The patient was an elderly male who arrived at Fuwai Hospital with a severe condition primarily caused by persistent atrial fibrillation-induced tricuspid regurgitation. The operation proceeded very smoothly, and immediate ultrasound showed stable anchoring of the valve frame, with no regurgitation or paravalvular leakage. The patient recovered well post-surgery, and follow-up after one month also indicated excellent valve function with highly favorable data.

In the sharing, Professor Hu Xiaopeng evaluated the feelings about the clinical operation of medical devices."This valve anchoring relies on radial support force and 9 ear hooks, providing a very stable anchoring. Compared to other solutions, it is simpler and more convenient to operate, significantly shortening the learning curve for us doctors."

Although the clinical application of the TruGamma® system has just begun, its academic attention and influence have significantly increased after the conference. The clinical research on this device has officially entered the industry spotlight. The excellent data and the device’s demonstrated ultra-high stability have led expert doctors to hold great expectations and confidence in its development prospects.
