Recently, Hygieia Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. announced the completion of a multi-million yuan Series A2 round of financing, led by Guangzhou Huangpu Biomedical Industry Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd., with participation from Guangxi Nanwan Baiao Phase I Venture Capital Partnership (Limited Partnership).

Hygieia is committed to the construction of a delivery technology platform in the siRNA field and drug development, establishing a complete end-to-end siRNA drug development platform from target discovery to clinical proof of concept (POC), with coverage fromFrom Early R&D to IndustrializationA professional team with full lifecycle experience and extensive domain expertise.

Hygieia has developed multiple siRNA delivery technology platforms with full independent intellectual property rights. Among them, the MVIP delivery platform is the world's first dual-conjugate siRNA delivery technology for liver-derived diseases, featuring unique stability that prevents siRNA degradation. Its high efficiency, safety, and long-lasting effects have been validated through multiple pipelines in Hygieia's clinical and preclinical studies.MVIP is the first siRNA delivery technology platform in China to receive global patent authorization.The DDP delivery platform is the second-generation siRNA delivery technology for hepatic genetic diseases developed by the company. It targets the delivery of siRNA drugs in multiple concurrent conditions within complex disease areas, capable of simultaneously delivering two or more siRNAs. Currently, some pipelines have progressed to the IND-Enabling Studies stage. The HJYNSdp delivery platform is an siRNA delivery technology developed by the company for neurological disorders, which can target not only the central nervous system (CNS) but also the peripheral nervous system (PNS). Multiple pipelines are currently in the preclinical compound validation phase.

Results from all stages of Phase I studies indicate that this pipeline demonstrates good safety, tolerability, and the potential for Best in Class (BIC) efficacy.

The pipeline developed based on the MVIP delivery technology platform for the treatment of hyperlipoproteinemia (a) associated with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) has currently received clinical tacit approval from the NMPA. Head-to-head efficacy studies with competing products from international leading companies have shown that Hygieia's pipeline has superior efficacy and sustainability.With the potential to be the Best in Class (BIC).

The pipeline for treating moderate to severe fibrotic nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is developed by Hygieia based on the MVIP technology platform.Globally Innovative Dual-Targeting Liver THRβ Agonist, which can minimize the systemic exposure of THRβ agonists and reduce side effects on extrahepatic organs (such as the heart and thyroid axis). Preclinical efficacy studies have shown that this pipeline can not only significantly improve NASH but also achieve a certain degree of reversal effect on moderate to severe fibrosis. Currently, this pipeline is in Phase I clinical trials, and the completed studies have shown that it has good safety and tolerability.With the potential for best-in-class efficacy and optimal safety。
