On September 5, 2024, Amgen registered a Phase I clinical trial for AMG 513 in weight loss on Clinicaltrials.gov.

This Phase I clinical trial plans to enroll 80 obese patients and is expected to be completed in March 2026.

AMG513 is administered via subcutaneous injection or intravenous injection.

Summary
Amgen has three weight-loss drugs in clinical stages, including MarTide, a novel GIPR antibody conjugated GLP-1 drug in Phase II clinical trials, the oral small molecule AMG 786 which completed Phase I trials, and AMG 513, which has now registered for Phase I clinical trials.
