Genetic Leap Announces $409 Million AI-Driven Collaboration with Eli Lilly to Develop RNA-Targeted Oligonucleotide Therapies

Intelligent Finance APP learned that Genetic Leap, which focuses on AI-driven drug discovery, announced a research collaboration with Eli Lilly (LLY.US) on Thursday, valued at up to $409 million, to develop gene-based therapies.

As part of the agreement, the two companies will leverage Genetic Leap's RNA-targeting artificial intelligence platform to develop oligonucleotide drugs for targets selected by Eli Lilly and Company.

This New York-based biotechnology company stated that a partnership was established after the successful pilot project with Eli Lilly and Company. According to the structure of the agreement, Genetic Leap will receive an advance payment and milestone payments of up to $409 million, in addition to tiered royalties.
