On September 19, NanoVation Therapeutics announced a multi-year research and development partnership with Novo Nordisk, aimed atCommonAdvance the development of innovative genetic medicines for cardiometabolic diseases and rare diseases。

The cooperation willNanoVation Therapeutics' Proprietary Long-Circulating Lipid Nanoparticle (lcLNP) RNA Delivery TechnologyAndNovo Nordisk's expertise in cardiometabolic diseases and rare disease research and clinical translation is combined.

According to the terms of the agreement，Novo Nordisk and NanoVation Therapeutics willCollaborative development of two major projects utilizing base editing technology to treat certain rare genetic diseases, with plans to expand to up to five additional targets for cardiometabolic and rare diseases in the future.

Novo Nordisk will obtain the global exclusive license to use NanoVation Therapeutics' LNP technology in these two major projects. NanoVation Therapeutics will receive research funding and is eligible for upfront payments and potential milestone payments of up to approximately $600 million.
