Recently, the "2024 (41st) China Pharmaceutical Industry Information Annual Conference and the 2023 China Pharmaceutical Industry Top 100 List Release Conference," hosted by the China Pharmaceutical Industry Information Center, was held in Chengdu. The conference released the much-anticipated "2023 China Pharmaceutical Industry Top 100 List," and Eisai (China) Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Eisai China") was honored on the "2023 China Pharmaceutical Industry Top 100 Enterprises" list.

Themed “Adhere·Innovate·Illuminate the Future,” this conference focuses on the frontier dynamics of industrial policies and jointly explores industry development trends. According to data from the China Pharmaceutical Industry Information Center, multiple operating indicators of the pharmaceutical industry in the 2023 top 100 list declined, with key metrics such as main business revenue and export delivery value showing negative growth. In 2023, the main business revenue of the top 100 enterprises was 1,030.19 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 0.29%. The threshold for entering the top 100 dropped from 3.39 billion yuan in 2022 to 3.09 billion yuan, while the threshold for the top 10 decreased from 26.46 billion yuan to 25.33 billion yuan. Overall, in 2023, China's pharmaceutical industry faced unprecedented challenges and pressures, yet the top 100 enterprises demonstrated resilience and strength in overcoming difficulties. Looking ahead, as benchmarks and pillars of industry development, the top 100 enterprises must pursue innovative collaborations with a global perspective, continuously enhance their comprehensive strength and international competitiveness, lead the acceleration of transformation and upgrading in the pharmaceutical industry, and solidify the foundation for a Healthy China.
