Today, Regor Therapeutics announced that it has reached an agreement with Genentech, a subsidiary of Roche.Genentech to Acquire Regor Therapeutics' Next-Generation CDK Inhibitor Pipeline for Breast Cancer Treatment。

According to the agreement, Regor Therapeutics will receive an upfront payment of up to 850 million US dollars and is eligible for development, regulatory, and commercial milestone payments. Genentech will be responsible for the clinical development, manufacturing, and global commercialization of the research projects. Regor will be responsible for continuing the two ongoing Phase 1 clinical trials until their completion.
Regor Therapeutics develops innovative and differentiated therapies for cancers, metabolic diseases, and autoimmune disorders with significant unmet medical needs, based on its proprietary Computer Accelerated Rational Discovery (CARD) platform. The company’s pipeline includes multiple therapies under research and development. Among them,RGT-419B is a CDK4 inhibitor with activity against CDK2 and is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of breast cancer. RGT-587 is a blood-brain barrier penetrant, selective CDK4 inhibitor for the treatment of brain metastases.

The abstract presented at this year's annual meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) shows that, in patients with recurrent refractory HR+/HER2- advanced breast cancer,RGT-419B monotherapy achieved a 28.6% partial response rate and a 44% clinical benefit rate, with no dose-limiting toxicity observed.
