On October 4, Italian Recordati reached an agreement with Sanofi to acquire the global rights to the autoimmune disease drug Enjaymo (sutimlimab).According to the terms of the agreement, if net sales reach or exceed the upper limit of the peak year sales forecast, Recordati will pay an upfront payment of $825 million and additional commercial milestone payments of up to $250 million. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, subject to regulatory approval.Recordati CEO Rob Koremans said:"This transaction aligns with our broader strategy, reaffirms our commitment to the rare disease space, and complements our oncology portfolio, particularly Sylvant®.
