Surgical Instrument Reliability
Technical Differentiation Tasting

On September 28, 2024, the Beijing Smart Healthcare Technology Innovation Alliance held the "Value-Based Scientific Management and Practice Seminar on Medical Devices" in Ningbo. This seminar invited medical experts and scholars from Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Anhui, and other regions, as well as representatives from related enterprises, to jointly focus on the scientific management, technological innovation, and clinical application of surgical instruments, and to discuss new trends and challenges in the management of medical consumables.

This seminar focuses on the refined management and exploration of medical surgical equipment, the management and practice of adverse events related to medical devices, and the clinical evaluation of surgical equipment usage and sharing of hospital management experiences. Experts shared their extensive management experiences, thoroughly discussing how to enhance operational efficiency and healthcare quality in hospitals through refined management, innovation-driven strategies, and high-quality development. By learning from each other and making progress together, these efforts aim to better serve patients and ensure their safety.

At the meeting, the Johnson & Johnson product expert presented a thematic report titled "Algorithm Delivers Superior Performance, Quality Control Ensures Consistent Excellence". Starting from key aspects such as the product design, manufacturing, testing, and clinical application of the Johnson & Johnson ultrasonic scalpel, the report provided an in-depth analysis of the industry-leading adaptive tissue algorithm integrated into the device. This technology enables precise cutting and hemostasis for different tissue types, significantly enhancing the safety and efficiency of surgeries. Moreover, it can adapt to real-time tissue changes during procedures, flexibly adjusting cutting parameters to ensure optimal results with every operation.
The insightful yet accessible explanations by the appraiser gave the guests present a deeper and more intuitive understanding of the new technology of Johnson & Johnson's ultrasonic scalpel, leaving them highly inspired. Some guests showed a keen interest in the specific implementation principles of the ultrasonic scalpel’s adaptive tissue algorithm and raised questions one after another. The appraiser responded to each question professionally, providing the audience with a more profound understanding of the complex logic behind the technology.

The successful hosting of this seminar has set an example for the progress in the field of surgical equipment management and medical services in China, providing valuable references and insights. The participating guests responded enthusiastically, stating that through this grand event, they not only gained more access to the latest research achievements and cutting-edge trends in the scientific management of surgical equipment but also developed a clearer understanding and planning for future development directions. Looking ahead, we will take this seminar as an opportunity to move forward hand in hand, jointly promoting the continuous improvement of surgical equipment management and medical service levels, and contributing our strength to the innovation and development of the medical industry.
