GSK's Investigational Drug Depemokimab Shows Positive Results in Late-Stage Trials for Chronic Rhinosinusitis with Nasal Polyps

SmartCom APP learned that GSK's (GSK.US) experimental drug for treating a common rhinitis showed positive results in two late-stage trials, boosting the R&D pipeline of this British pharmaceutical company.

Boosted by the news, GSK's share price rose about 1% in pre-market trading on Monday. Since the beginning of the year, the stock has risen 2.3%.

Depemokimab is considered a key part of GSK's growth in the coming years, with the company aiming to launch the drug for various conditions between 2026 and 2027. GSK projects annual sales of Depemokimab to reach up to £3 billion ($3.9 billion).

This drug is an ultra-long-acting injectable that can be administered to patients once every six months. Depemokimab has also been shown to help prevent severe asthma attacks. GSK will present the full trial results of the drug for treating chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps at an upcoming scientific conference.
