Malaysian Sabah China-Malaysia Friendship Association Delegation Visits NewMed Medical, Highlighting Innovation in Cardiac Valve Technologies

Under the accompaniment of Chairman Yu Qifeng, the visiting delegation toured NewMed's Heart Valve Technology Exhibition Hall, gaining insights into the company’s business areas, product applications, and R&D progress. During the subsequent discussion, Chairman Yu Qifeng provided a detailed introduction to NewMed’s development history, product portfolio, NewMed Singularity Innovation Center, and the company’s future development plans. Both parties mainly communicated and exchanged ideas on innovation in high-tech enterprises, talent, and industry development.

Chairman Yu Qifeng stated, "Innovation must focus on key core technologies. Key core technologies cannot be obtained through asking, buying, or begging. Only by breaking through key core technologies and vigorously enhancing our independent innovation capabilities can we accelerate the realization of high-level technological self-reliance and strength. Therefore, NewMed always adheres to innovation as the strategic key to enterprise development, targeting cutting-edge 'chokepoint' challenges, tackling core technologies, and building a high-end medical device enterprise that belongs to China and is on par with international standards."

Representative of the visiting delegation, YB Datuk Jeffrey Wong Wei Guang JP, spoke highly of NewMed's innovative achievements in the field of interventional cardiac valves. He expressed that Malaysia places great importance on the research and development of high-tech in the biopharmaceutical field, as well as talent cultivation and international cooperation. He hopes to strengthen cooperation between Malaysia and China in the healthcare sector in the future, jointly promote the development of innovative enterprises, and enable these excellent medical device products to go global, benefiting more patients.
