To elaborate further on the intelligent drug development ecosystem, Ms. Liu Ying, BD Director of Great Bay Bio, Ms. Zhang Qiqi, and Dr. Qi Kai, CCO, provided in-depth introductions to the intelligent targeted integration cell line construction platform (AlfaCell), the drug molecule design and optimization platform (AlfaDAX), and the intelligent non-screening culture medium development platform (AlfaOPA), respectively.
In the cell line construction process, the AlfaCell platform utilizes site-specific integration technology to precisely insert the target product gene into stable, high-expression, high-quality highly active loci, eliminating the random blind selection process in cell line construction.The AlfaCell platform can obtain stable high-yield monoclonal cell lines within 1.5 months, shortening the traditional IND application cycle from 16 months to 10 months. The titer of customer products with IND applications has reached 15g/L. Additionally, the AlfaCell platform excels in addressing challenges in bispecific antibody development, with nanobody products reaching 13.1g/L and tetrameric bispecific antibodies reaching 8.3g/L.In addition, AlfaCellCan also be usedTransient transfection expression results in higher consistency in quality between transient and stable transfections of the same cell line, addressing the efficacy differences between early research and CMC, and reducing drug development risks.

In the drug molecular design and optimization process,The AlfaDAX platform has pioneered the simultaneous optimization of three dimensions: humanization, affinity, and drug-likeness. It reduces the traditional molecular optimization cycle from three months to one week and achieves a drug-likeness prediction accuracy rate of approximately 90%.Customers comprehensively evaluate the potential of candidate protein molecules to become developable, safe, and effective drugs through protein structure prediction, hydrophilic/hydrophobic group analysis, positive/negative charge clustering, immunogenicity (humanization), molecular docking, and affinity analysis. Before the candidate protein molecules enter the CMC stage, the AlfaDAX platform helps customers quickly screen and modify candidate molecules, reducing trial-and-error costs and accelerating the new drug development process.

In the medium development and optimization process,The AlfaOPA platform provides a universal catalog medium with good versatility, and the culture results are comparable to or better than commercial media.In addition, the AlfaOPA platform uses AI technology to deeply analyze supernatant data during the cell culture process, calculate the influence parameters of amino acids, vitamins, metal elements, and other components, and intelligently optimize the additives and their amounts required for cell culture medium, eliminating a significant amount of manual screening work traditionally involved in medium optimization.Shorten the traditional cycle of about 9 months to 1 month, and further increase product output.
