Hansoh Pharma (03692.HK) Rises Nearly 3% as Lung Cancer ADC HS-20093 Nominated for CDE Breakthrough Therapy Designation

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, Hansoh Pharma (03692) rose nearly 3%. As of the time of writing, it increased by 2.97%, trading at HK$20.8, with a turnover of HK$98.382 million.

On the news front, on October 24, the latest announcement on the official website of the Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE) of the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) revealed that Hansoh Pharma's HS-20093 for injection is proposed to be included in the breakthrough therapy designation. The proposed indication is: extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) that has progressed after standard first-line treatment (platinum doublet chemotherapy combined with immunotherapy). Public data shows that HS-20093 is a B7-H3-targeted antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by Hansoh Pharma.

It was reported that in December 2023, Hansoh Pharma entered into an exclusive licensing agreement worth over $1.7 billion with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Under the agreement, GSK obtained global exclusive rights (excluding Greater China) for the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of HS-20093. In August this year, GSK announced that HS-20093 had received Breakthrough Therapy Designation from the FDA for the treatment of patients with relapsed or refractory ES-SCLC who progress during or after platinum-based chemotherapy. The FDA's Breakthrough Therapy Designation was supported by data from the Phase 1 ARTEMIS-001 first-in-human clinical trial.
