Recently, the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission announced the "List of High-tech Achievements Transformation Projects in Shanghai, 4th Batch of 2024." After comprehensive evaluation, the Prizballoon Aortic Valve Balloon Dilation Catheter ("Prizballoon"), independently developed by Shanghai NewMed Medical Co., Ltd., has been recognized and included in the list.

Prizballoon was approved for marketing by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) on December 14, 2022. It is the first Class III medical device product registered by NewMed and is suitable for autologous valve dilation of the cardiac aortic valve. The product can precisely control the balloon diameter through inflation volume, quickly inflate and retract, reduce pacing time, and lower surgical risks.

The recognition of this high-tech achievements transformation project by Shanghai is an acknowledgment and affirmation from the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission of NewMed's innovative strength. It also represents another milestone in technological innovation within the field of aortic valve interventional treatment in recent years.
