Genome Wisdom Raises $85M in Series B Financing, Developing the Next Generation of Pathological Diagnosis of Tumors

Genome Wisdom, a precision medical technology company, has completed its Series B financing of 60 million yuan ($85 million), led by Huagai Capital, with participation from Phoenix Tree Capital Partners and Qingkong Jinxin Blue Microbe Fund, co-founded by Blue Economy Zone Industrial Fund and Kingsum Capital. Genome Wisdom's existing investors Legend Capital and Fu Rong Investment, and the company's senior management team also participated in the new round.

Dr. Ling Shaoping, CEO of Genome Wisdom, said that Genome Wisdom is committed to promoting the Next-Gen Pathological Diagnosis (NGPD), and developing a precise diagnosis platform based on big data for medical institutions. Proceeds of this round will speed up the clinical application of its iPCD platform.

Genome Wisdom is a provider of gene-based precision medical technology designed to offer high-throughput, high-precision genomic data services for clinical and personal genomes. The company's technology offers disease molecular mechanisms based on multi-omics integration analysis and oncology treatment dynamics, enabling tumor clinics and drug research institutions to complete biomarker discovery based on genetic and pathological data and improve the clinical pathology of tumors in hospitals.

The core product of Genome Wisdom, iPCD, not only enables medical institutions to carry out NGS data analysis in real-time and deliver reports more efficiently and accurately, but also integrates pathological information to provide clinical support for comprehensive diagnostic decision-making based on big data.

Since its inception in 2016, Genome Wisdom has completed three rounds of financing with a total amount of over 100 million yuan. The angel round and Series A financing were respectively led by ZhenFund and Legend Capital.

Founded in 2012, Huagai Capital is a private equity investment institution that manages a number of equity investment funds such as medical health funds, TMT funds, cultural funds, and more, with AUM over 15 billion yuan. 

Phoenix Tree Capital Partners is a capital group that specializes in investing in TMT and strategic emerging industries. As a leading private equity investment group in China, the company manages funds of nearly 10 billion yuan, invested by local government guidance funds, several listed enterprises, financial institutions, well-known private companies, and entrepreneurs.
