Johnson & Johnson Showcases Cutting-Edge Cardiovascular Solutions at CIIE with Hardcore 'Black Tech'

The 7th China International Import Expo (7th CIIE) grandly opened, marking another important moment for multinational healthcare companies to collectively "show their strength."

Hardcore healthcare innovation products and solutions have always been a key highlight of Johnson & Johnson's participation in exhibitions. At this year’s CIIE, under the theme of “Innovating in Action, Caring at Heart,” Johnson & Johnson focused on core health issues such as rewriting the history of cancer, overcoming cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, building a healthy "aging" society, and pushing the boundaries of medical technology. At the medical technology exhibition area, Johnson & Johnson comprehensively showcased its cutting-edge innovations in the four major business fields of surgery, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular, orthopedics, and vision, focusing on unmet patient needs to create smarter, minimally invasive, and more personalized solutions. In addition to static product displays, this area also featured a special product experience zone, allowing visitors to personally experience the innovative appeal of medical technology and feel the deep integration of technology and healthcare.

On the other hand, the innovative pharmaceuticals exhibition area comprehensively showcased Johnson & Johnson's innovation philosophy rooted in science, mission-driven priorities, and patient-first approach. This exhibition area focused on 19 key products across disease areas such as oncology, immunology, neuroscience, and cardiopulmonary conditions, demonstrating Johnson & Johnson's outstanding achievements in leading the future of medicine through science and transforming innovative research into practical results.

Overall, from being a "first-time visitor" to becoming a "repeat customer" and then a "regular participant," Johnson & Johnson has deeply benefited from the "spillover effects" of the CIIE. Many emerging technologies and solutions have transformed from "exhibits" to "commercial products" and have been accelerated in their implementation and promotion in China, effectively meeting the growing health needs of countless Chinese patients.

Relevant statistics show that atrial fibrillation (AF) has become one of the most prevalent cardiovascular diseases in China, with over 20 million AF patients currently in the country. The incidence of AF increases sharply with age, and the prevalence rate in people aged 75-84 even reaches 12%. Radiofrequency ablation is a highly effective treatment technology for AF.

Therefore, at this year's CIIE, the first STSF magnetic positioning pressure monitoring radiofrequency ablation catheter produced in China by Johnson & Johnson Medical Technology has drawn significant attention. This multi-electrode cavity catheter features intelligent and precise pressure indication and multi-hole perfusion technology, which can be used for cardiac electrophysiological mapping and delivering radiofrequency current to the tip electrode of the catheter for ablation procedures. As a newly registered domestically produced product, it focuses on innovative localized smart manufacturing, integrating advanced technology and craftsmanship while demonstrating deep care for public health. It vividly showcases the latest achievement of the profound integration of Chinese innovation with global resources.

"China Launch" OPTRELL Single-Use Magnetic Paddle Mapping Catheter^™It is also one of the highlights of the booth. As a multi-electrode magnetic positioning mapping catheter, OPTRELL^™With real-time激动vector arrow indication and TRUEref^™Noise reduction technology, which can be used for cardiac electrophysiological mapping, is Johnson & Johnson Medical Technologies' first paddle-designed mapping catheter in the electrophysiology field. 

Stroke is the most severe complication of atrial fibrillation, with patients suffering from atrial fibrillation having a five times higher risk of stroke than those without it. According to the "China Stroke Prevention and Treatment Report 2020," stroke is the leading cause of death and disability among Chinese adults, posing a high fatality risk and significantly impacting the lives and quality of life of patients. Without active and effective diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation, the risk and fatality rate of stroke will increase.

Among these, EMBOGUARD^™Neurovascular Balloon Guiding Catheter is one of the key highlights. As a product independently developed by Johnson & Johnson Medical, EMBOGUARD^™Neurovascular balloon guiding catheters can temporarily block blood flow during neurointerventional thrombectomy procedures, preventing thrombus from escaping to the distal vasculature.Yi, assisting in the removal of intracranial thrombus with thrombectomy stents and aspiration catheters, brings good news to more patients with acute ischemic stroke.
