PharmaCircleLearned: Recently, Intelligent Medicine Original (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a full-lifecycle large molecule drug design company, has secured tens of millions of yuan in angel funding. This round of financing was invested by Hupu Co., Ltd. The funds raised will be used to expand the pipeline of AI-driven drug design.Advance the Wet Experimental Validation of Existing Peptide Drug Designs, to boost industrial development.

IMO, founded by researchers from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in November 2023, is a medical technology company. The company has established a full-process, graphical, one-click generative platform for computational screening in AI-driven protein drug design. It has also entered into project collaborations with multiple publicly listed pharmaceutical companies both in and outside China to accelerate protein drug development services, while advancing its own protein drug pipeline. The founder of the company is Professor Haifeng Chen.

Currently, five pipelines are being advanced in parallel, involving metabolic, immune, and neurological diseases, and have been pushed to the experimental stage. The company stated: "Despite the current challenges in the financing market, our innovative technology has still gained recognition and support from the market. We firmly believe that, with the empowerment of artificial intelligence, we can usher in a new chapter in the research and development of protein drugs and diagnostics, bringing greater hope and possibilities for global health."
