Cardiovascular Disease Treatment Device Developer
Inari MedicalAnnouncing its next-generation peripheral arterial integrated thrombectomy system---ArtixApproved by the FDA for marketing, applicable for the treatment of acute limb ischemia (ALI).

Company Evaluation
"Through Artix, our goal is to raise the standard for arterial thrombectomy and set new benchmarks. Artix is an all-in-one aspiration and mechanical thrombectomy solution for peripheral arteries, offering control, versatility, and unparalleled performance, enabling physicians to capture all thrombus with a single device."
Acute Lower Limb Ischemia (ALLI) refers to a category of diseases where the blood supply to the lower limbs is suddenly reduced due to various causes, resulting in insufficient blood perfusion, thus posing a serious threat to limb survival, with a course of disease < 2 weeks. The etiology of ALLI is diverse, including arterial embolism, thrombosis, peripheral artery aneurysm, dissection, and traumatic arterial injury, among others.
For patients with acute lower limb ischemia, treatment needs to be carried out as soon as possible to ensure that the limb is not damaged, and even to save the patient's life. Currently forPatients with acute lower limb ischemia are mainly treated through surgical procedures (whether thrombectomy or bypass surgery). Although these surgeries can save some patients' limbs, they also bring about many complications (for example,Causing distal vascular embolism and injury, etc.). If surgery is not feasible, the doctor will proceed throughMedicineThrombolysisOr other conservative forms of medication, which often show poor efficacy.
In the face ofAcute Limb Ischemia Lacks Effective Solutions, As a Leader in the Peripheral Intervention FieldInari MedicalDevelop an integrated solution for peripheral thrombectomy---Artix, which can effectively remove blood clots and alleviate the symptoms of these potential and urgent conditions.

Artix

The distal end of Artix MT is constructed from a nitinol braid and includes an internal support for the catheter, designed to "promote uniform distribution of thrombus within the stent." The stent design also features a variable mesh structure for effective thrombus capture.

The distal end of Artix AX is an expandable funnel, which can prevent Artix MT from dragging and rotating the thrombus, ensuring that the thrombus is more effectively drawn into the catheter and avoiding the leakage of fragmented thrombi.
