LAE Pharma-B (02105.HK) Enters Clinical Collaboration Agreement with Eli Lilly to Advance LAE102 for Obesity Treatment

Eli Lilly will be responsible for conducting a Phase I study in the United States and bearing the associated costs.

The group retains global rights to LAE102. The group is committed to bringing this precision treatment to overweight and obese patients who need new therapeutic options to achieve high-quality weight control.

It is reported that LAE102 is a self-developed monoclonal antibody targeting Act RIIA, a receptor that plays an important role in muscle regeneration and fat metabolism. In preclinical models, LAE102 has demonstrated the effect of increasing muscle and reducing fat. The combination of LAE102 with a GLP-1 receptor agonist can further reduce fat and significantly decrease the muscle loss caused by the GLP-1 receptor agonist, making LAE102 a high-quality candidate drug for weight control.
