To further promote the inheritance and innovation of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), accelerate the integrated development of TCM and Western medicine in urology, and enhance the diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities for urinary system diseases through combined TCM and Western medicine approaches, the 2026 Annual Academic Conference of the Urology Professional Committee of the Hunan Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Integrative Medicine was held in Changsha from July 3 to 4. The conference gathered renowned urology experts, academic leaders, and young professionals from within and outside the province. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on hot topics such as urinary system tumors, prostatic diseases, urinary control and pelvic floor rehabilitation, perioperative management, and multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment. Together, they explored new pathways for urological diagnostic and therapeutic techniques and discipline construction under the context of collaborative TCM-Western medicine innovation, aiming to promote the standardization and homogenization of regional urological care.
Cornerstone Robotics unveiled its self-developed 8mm 4K 3D NIR integrated endoscopy system at the conference, engaging with urology experts across China to discuss innovative applications of minimally invasive techniques in precise diagnosis and treatment. By leveraging technological innovation to foster the synergistic development of traditional Chinese and Western medicine, the company aims to contribute innovative strength to the high-quality advancement of urology.
This congress prioritized the integrated development of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western medicine, as well as the advancement of clinical technological innovation. It featured several academic sessions, including Frontline Focus, Clinical Technological Innovation in Integrative TCM and Western Medicine, and Young Professionals’ Showcase. Throughout the event, “Clinical Technological Innovation in Integrative TCM and Western Medicine” served as the central theme, with specialized presentations and in-depth discussions on robotic minimally invasive surgery, perioperative management, TCM-characteristic diagnosis and treatment, multidisciplinary collaboration, and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS). Drawing upon their extensive clinical experience, participating experts jointly explored the concept of precision diagnosis and treatment and innovative practices leveraging the complementary advantages of TCM and Western medicine, thereby providing new insights for the disciplinary development and standardized clinical practice of urology. As a key enabler of precise minimally invasive procedures, robotic technology also emerged as a major focus of attention and discussion among the experts present.
During the conference, the Cornerstone Robotics booth attracted numerous urology experts to stop and experience its offerings. Experts engaged in in-depth discussions with the Cornerstone Robotics team on topics such as how robotic technology can better serve precision diagnosis and treatment, facilitate clinical innovation, and promote the coordinated development of traditional Chinese and Western medicine. The 8mm 4K 3D NIR integrated endoscopy system displayed on-site drew significant attention from attending experts due to its clear and detailed imaging performance and stable, smooth image output.
Leveraging its independently developed full-domain intelligent sensing image processing platform, the system delivers ultra-high-definition, low-latency visualization of the surgical field, faithfully reproducing tissue layers and anatomical details. In addition to its superior imaging performance,It also demonstrates significant advantages in assisting with precise intraoperative judgment.Compared with traditional endoscopes, it offers an expanded 3D field of view and features proprietary amber multispectral imaging technology. Even in complex surgical fields with bleeding, it maintains bright and uniform image quality. Simultaneous, zero-latency capture of white light and fluorescence within the same frame fundamentally resolves the issue of fluorescence image drift, delivering clearer, more authentic fluorescence imaging without motion blur. The simultaneous on-screen display of white light and high-definition, realistic fluorescence images allows for continuous acquisition of critical anatomical information without frequent switching, enabling precise identification of tissue boundaries and vascular structures, thus providing reliable visual support for intraoperative decision-making. Meanwhile, its slender 8mm scope body balances high-definition imaging with minimally invasive requirements, reducing trauma while better accommodating the refined maneuvers required in urological surgery. This design provides surgeons with a more flexible operational experience and offers patients the potential for less trauma and faster recovery.Experts stated during exchanges that, as precision minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment continue to advance in depth, high-quality imaging systems are becoming an important foundation for improving surgical quality.
The core of integrating traditional Chinese and Western medicine lies in continuously enhancing patient benefits, while medical technology innovation provides sustained momentum for this goal. In the future, Cornerstone Robotics will remain committed to being guided by clinical needs, deepen independent innovation, and collaborate with urology experts across China to explore broader applications of robotic technology in precise minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment. By promoting the accelerated implementation of collaborative innovations between traditional Chinese and Western medicine through higher-quality domestically produced surgical robots, we aim to contribute greater Chinese innovative strength to the high-quality development of urology.
