Former BeiGene Executive Dr. Jian Liu Joins Guangzhou Pharma Group as Chief Strategic Scientist

On July 7, Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited officially announced,OriginalBeOneDr. Liu Jian, Member of the Global Executive Committee and CEO of the Innovation Center, has officially joined as the Group’s Strategic Scientist.

Before joining Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings Limited, Liu JianServe asMember of the Global Executive Committee of BeOne, CEO of the Innovation Center, and Chairman of BeOne Medicines Ltd.During his tenure, Liu Jian led the innovative drug incubation business at the BeOne Innovation Center and oversaw the BeOne Guangzhou biologics manufacturing facility.

Prior to joining BeOne,Liu Jian is respectivelyMember of the Leadership Team, Johnson & Johnson Global Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing Sciences (PDMS) and China R&D, responsible for PDMS corporate strategy development and regional execution. In addition, Liu Jian has previouslyPfizer、Sanofi、AstraZeneca、NovartisWaitMultiple foreign pharmaceutical companies have been engaged in new drug development, investment and financing management, and pharmaceutical distribution for many years.

Jian Liu earned his Ph.D. from Queen’s University in Canada and subsequently completed his postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School in the United States. Previously, he obtained his bachelor’s degree from Hunan Agricultural University in China and his master’s degree from the University of Prince Edward Island.
