Unveiling and Launch of the Brain-Computer Interface Rehabilitation Ward
In his address, Che Zhenyong, President of Xinxiang Central Hospital, stated that as a Grade III Class A general hospital, the institution has established a comprehensive multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment system in rehabilitation fields such as stroke, brain injury, cognitive impairment, and neurodegenerative diseases in the elderly. Through this collaboration with Sunnyou Medical, the hospital will leverage its high-quality clinical resources to provide robust support for the clinical validation and protocol optimization of brain-computer interface (BCI) technologies. This partnership aims to elevate the regional standard of rehabilitation diagnosis and treatment for neurological disorders, enabling patients to access cutting-edge, precise, and intelligent rehabilitation services locally.
Secretary Yue Aimin, President Che Zhenyong, Assistant to the President Wang Huimin, and Manager Li Junxia jointly unveiled the Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) Rehabilitation Technology Innovation Consortium and the BCI Rehabilitation Ward. The two parties will conduct technological breakthroughs in clinical scenarios such as neural function reconstruction, arousal promotion for disorders of consciousness, and cognitive rehabilitation for the elderly, thereby establishing a closed-loop pathway from “R&D to translation and implementation of outcomes,” and advancing frontier brain science technologies from the laboratory to clinical wards.
Subsequently, the attendees toured the brain-computer interface (BCI) rehabilitation ward, gaining a detailed understanding of its layout and the configuration of rehabilitation equipment. They also engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as technology implementation, the advancement of clinical research projects, and coordinated disciplinary development.
In the future, Sunnyou will continue to broaden the application scenarios of brain-computer interaction technology, deepen its expertise in technical fields such as neuromodulation and AI-enabled rehabilitation, enhance collaborative innovation among industry, academia, research, and healthcare institutions, illuminate hope for patient rehabilitation through technology, and contribute to the building of a Healthy China.
