Zhitong Finance APP News: CSPC (01093) announced that the Iron Sucrose Injection (5 ml: 100 mg iron and 1.6 g sucrose) developed by the Group has been approved for market launch by the National Medical Products Administration of the People's Republic of China. This product is the first domestic variety considered to have passed the consistency evaluation of quality and efficacy for generic drugs. The approval of this product will further enrich the Group's product portfolio in the field of blood disorders.

This product is an intravenous polysaccharide-iron complex, a water-soluble complex formed by the non-covalent encapsulation of polynuclear iron(III) hydroxide with sucrose molecules. After intravenous administration, the product gradually dissociates into iron ions and sucrose in the body. The dissociated iron ions bind to plasma transferrin and are transported via the bloodstream to target tissue cells, such as erythroid hematopoietic precursor cells in the bone marrow, where they are ultimately utilized for erythropoiesis to correct iron deficiency anemia. This product is indicated for patients with iron deficiency anemia who require intravenous iron supplementation due to poor efficacy from oral iron therapy, including cases of inadequate absorption or intolerance.
