Gelonghui, July 2 | AstraZeneca announced the signing of a new agreement with CSPC to jointly develop novel small nucleic acid candidate drugs. This collaboration will leverage CSPC’s proprietary siRNA drug discovery platform and its extrahepatic targeted delivery platform. Under the agreement, AstraZeneca and CSPC will discover and develop preclinical candidate drugs targeting two specific targets, with the potential to treat multiple indications in kidney diseases. AstraZeneca will have the option to secure exclusive global rights, or rights outside China, for the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of these candidates. CSPC will retain the rights for the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of one of the projects in China.
