173 New AI-Driven Medical Technologies Illuminate the Light of Life
[Report] (Reporter Kang Xiaobo) On June 23, the finals of the Xiong’an International Medical and Big Health Technology Application Competition, part of the Third Xiong’an Future City Scenario Hub, were launched. The competition featured three tracks: Health Big Data Application Technology, New Scenarios for Smart Hospitals, and Inheritance, Innovation, and Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It attracted participation from 514 organizations both domestically and internationally, with a total of 666 projects submitted. Following selection, 173 projects advanced to the finals.
At the finals, a batch of innovative achievements with independent intellectual property rights and significant potential for clinical translation were prominently showcased. Ant Afu launched a dual-drive service model of “AI + Family Doctor,” creating a closed-loop, full-cycle health service system covering “prevention–diagnosis and treatment–rehabilitation–management,” thereby filling the gap in intelligent services at the primary healthcare level. Cereblink (Hangzhou) Technology Co., Ltd. leveraged brain-computer interface technology to decode neural signals and drive exoskeleton devices, assisting stroke patients with hemiplegia in regaining autonomous mobility. GE Medical (China) Co., Ltd. introduced a handheld ultrasound diagnosis and treatment system, enabling patients to access high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services at primary healthcare institutions.
To make cutting-edge medical technologies perceptible, experiential, and implementable, the competition concurrently features a dedicated smart healthcare exhibition hall, gathering more than 50 industry-leading enterprises to centrally showcase innovative products that closely align with public health needs. Liancheng Technology (Hebei) Co., Ltd. presents its product, “a full-chain large model support system covering clinical decision-making, medical record quality control, intelligent coding, and health insurance audit,” which significantly enhances the efficiency of health insurance fund utilization and the quality of medical care; Zhuhai Hagong TianyuRobotThe AI Health Kiosk introduced by the Group Co., Ltd. enables a 90-second non-invasive full-body health screening; the Smart Primary Healthcare Service Terminal brought by Jiuxing Empowerment Equipment (Hebei) Co., Ltd. bridges the “last mile” of primary healthcare services. The immersive, visual display platform not only provides enterprises with a showcase for their technological achievements but also allows medical institutions to intuitively understand the application value of new digital-intelligent medical technologies, laying the foundation for future collaboration.
It is reported that the competition has cumulatively released 123 demand scenarios for medical and general health, covering areas such as smart hospitals, AI-assisted diagnosis and treatment, early screening for primary healthcare, and traditional Chinese medicine wellness. A batch of advanced medical technologies is being rapidly implemented in hospitals and wellness institutions.
Adhering to the principle of “conducting competitions, facilitating matchmaking, and promoting implementation simultaneously,” this edition of the competition aims to accelerate the market entry of innovative technologies. During the finals, a dedicated zone for matchmaking and negotiations was established outside the competition venue. Meanwhile, multiple academic seminars on innovation in healthcare and wellness were held, bringing together industry experts to jointly discuss pathways for industrial development.
A relevant official from the Provincial Health Commission stated that, leveraging the unique innovative ecosystem advantages of the Xiong'an New Area, the competition actively promotes the precise alignment between technology supply and application demand, selects high-quality projects for implementation and commercialization, and enables new digital and intelligent medical technologies to better serve the public.
