Achieving Overtaking on the Straightaway for Chinese Medical Devices Through Original Chinese Innovation. On September 12, at the National Finals of the 6th China Medical Device Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, held under the guidance of relevant units affiliated with the China Association for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Science and Technology, Qingdao Jianxin Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jianxin Medical”) won the First Prize with a high score of 84.71 for its project “Development of an Intelligent Dual-Engine Dynamic Hybrid Energy Surgical System,” outperforming all other competitors.

World's First"Intelligent Dual-Engine Dynamic Hybrid Energy Surgical System"Integrating the clinical advantages of multiple energy-based devices, it addresses for the first time the scientific challenge of dynamically blending and modulating dual-energy outputs based on tissue characteristics. All its core proprietary components are independently developed by Jianxin Medical, featuring multiple breakthrough technological innovations:
● Utilizes a control system to ensure coordinated synergy between ultrasound and electrical energy, enabling real-time dynamic hybrid output and achieving true signal fusion and synchronization;
● Resolved the technical challenge of achieving real-time, precise output of hybrid energy through proprietary algorithms and anti-interference design, thereby enhancing product safety and reliability;
● Exclusive, fully proprietary integrated dual-energy conversion and emission device capable of simultaneously converting and emitting electrical energy into ultrasonic energy, as well as conducting and emitting high-frequency electrical energy;
● The uniquely designed blade tip can simultaneously deliver dual-energy output of ultrasonic and high-frequency electrical energy, suitable for various surgical scenarios, significantly improving surgical efficiency;
● The distal end of the bipolar electrode shaft is coated with a specialized polymer insulation layer, enabling it to withstand 2000 V high voltage under high-temperature cutting conditions within a mere 0.3 mm gap between the cannula and the probe, fully meeting clinical requirements;
● The outer cannula and the energy emitter housing are connected via a CT-like conductive slip ring structure, ensuring reliable electrical connectivity while meeting the clinical requirement for 360° rotation.
This product not only fills a domestic gap but also leads the next generation of energy-based surgical devices, marking Qingdao Jianxin Medical Technology Co., Ltd.’s achievement in genuine Chinese original innovation and the overtaking of imported devices by domestically produced instruments in the field of minimally invasive surgery. Currently, the project has been successfully approved as a special project under the National Key R&D Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology and has entered the priority review green channel of the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), with NMPA registration and market launch expected in 2025.

In this final competition, another innovative project from Jianxin Medical—“R&D and Industrialization of an Ultrasonic Lithotripsy System for Ureteral Stones”—also stood out amidst fierce competition, winning the Third Prize.
"Applicable to Ultrasonic Lithotripsy Systems for Ureteral Calculi"It is a globally first-in-class dual-frequency ultrasonic lithotripsy system designed for ureteral stones with no thermal injury. It boasts internationally leading advantages, including minimal thermal damage, intelligent recognition of stone characteristics, and dynamic control of ultrasonic energy output. Both the ultrasonic energy conversion and emission device and the ultrasonic waveguide rod feature original designs, enabling superior clinical outcomes. This system is currently the world’s only lithotripsy system applicable to the entire urinary tract. The prototype has been completed, and it is about to enter regulatory testing.

● Minimally Invasive Surgical Treatment Equipment:The first anti-adhesion ultrasonic energy system for 5mm vessel cutting and hemostasis has obtained the NMPA Class III product registration certificate. It is currently applied in multiple domestic surgical robots and has been technically introduced by internationally renowned enterprises.
● Visual Surgical Platform:The world’s first all-original, dual-probe 3D ultrasound system, which simultaneously addresses “temporal precision” and “spatial positioning accuracy,” has completed its prototype and is about to undergo regulatory testing. By providing physicians with “two” fluoroscopic eyes, this product effectively resolves the limitation of conventional ultrasound imaging, which offers only two-dimensional images and cannot perform real-time, precise localization of lesions within a three-dimensional spatial coordinate system. Additionally, products such as an integrated ultrasound-guided interventional diagnosis and treatment anesthesia robot, a precision minimally invasive breast surgery robot, and a real-time precision minimally invasive liver surgery robot are currently in the pre-research phase.

As part of the “Science and Technology Innovation China” series of activities, the China Medical Device Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was initiated and guided by the Department of Social Development Science and Technology of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the China National Center for Biotechnology Development, and organized by the Strategic Alliance for Technological Innovation in the Medical Device Industry.
