Professor Wang Rong isWorld-renowned Multi-omics Expert，With over 40 years of experience in research and clinical translation in this field. In 1982, Professor Wang Rong graduated from Beijing Medical College (now Peking University Health Science Center) and remained at the university to engage in scientific research, thereby launching his career in mass spectrometry. Subsequently, Professor Wang pursued further studies in the United States, earning a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He conducted postdoctoral research at The Rockefeller University and later was appointed as Tenured Professor of Genetics and Genomics, with a joint appointment as Professor in the Department of Structural and Chemical Biology, at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.

Professor Wang Rong has been deeply engaged in cutting-edge research on mass spectrometry and multi-omics for decades, achieving numerous innovative accomplishments and earning international acclaim. His representative papers have been published in《Science》、《Nature》、《Nature Medicine》、《Nature Neuroscience》、《Nature Genetics》、《Neuron》、《JBC》、《PNAS》such as top international academic journals, with over 23,000 citations (h-index 68)。

Professor Wang Rong’s primary research areas include multi-omics, cellular biology, and molecular biology. In recent years, Professor Wang has focused on multi-omics research and translational work in the field of chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and neurodegenerative disorders.
