On September 27, 2023, Adcentrx Therapeutics (“Adcentrx”), a biotechnology company focused on developing breakthrough protein-conjugated drug therapies for cancer and other serious diseases, announced that the first patient had been dosed in the U.S. Phase 1a/b clinical study of ADRX-0706, an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) candidate for the treatment of advanced solid tumors.

“We are delighted to announce this significant milestone in Adcentrx’s journey from the R&D stage to the clinical stage,” said Dr. Hui Li, Founder and CEO of Adcentrx. “We are confident in the potential of ADRX-0706 to address the unmet clinical needs of patients with Nectin-4-expressing cancers.”

The first-in-human clinical trial of ADRX-0706 will be an open-label, multicenter, dose-escalation and dose-expansion study (Phase 1a/1b). The study will enroll patients with selected advanced solid tumors. The primary objectives are to evaluate the safety and tolerability of ADRX-0706 and to determine its optimal dose. The company expects to conduct initial data analysis in mid-2024.
