2023 IBIWS Medical & Healthcare Innovation Summit & 7th Shanghai AI Conference: Empowering Innovation in Medicine and Healthcare

The 2023 Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Innovation Conference & The 7th Shanghai AI Conference was guided by the Office of the Leading Group for the Development of Shanghai’s Biopharmaceutical Industry and the People’s Government of Putuo District; jointly hosted by the Shanghai Pharmaceutical Trade Association, the Shanghai Association of Experts with Outstanding Contributions, the AIII Institute of Artificial Intelligence Industry, and the Center for Biomedical Research and Advanced Neurochip at Westlake University; supported by the Taopu Town People’s Government of Putuo District, the Shanghai Biopharmaceutical Industry Promotion Center, Lingang Group Industrial Development Company, Shanghai Taopu Smart Innovation City Development and Construction Co., Ltd., the Life and Health Industry Development Alliance of Putuo District, Shanghai, and Euronet (Yiou); and organized by the Shanghai Society of Artificial Intelligence, the Shanghai Computer Society, and the Shanghai Big Data Alliance.

The biopharmaceutical industry plays an increasingly vital role in the national economy and is one of Shanghai’s three leading industries designated for “concentrating elite resources to accelerate development and achieve breakthroughs.” To promote domestic and international exchange and cooperation, encourage technological innovation, facilitate the efficient integration of industry and capital, and support the high-end, intelligent, and globalized development of Shanghai’s biopharmaceutical sector, the 2023 Shanghai International Biopharmaceutical Industry Week (IBIWS) will be held from October 16 to 20, 2023.

Against this backdrop, as one of the keynote forums of IBIWS 2023, this conference is themed “Innovation Empowering the Development of Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare.” It focuses on key areas including “Technological Innovation in Drug R&D,” “Digital and Intelligent Strategies in Clinical Development,” “Global Pharmaceutical Collaboration,” and “AI-Enabled New Digital Infrastructure for Healthcare and Smart Medicine.” The event aims to build a comprehensive platform for exchanging core technologies and industrial practices in pharmaceuticals and medical technology, fully leveraging Shanghai’s role as a central hub in the domestic circulation and a strategic link in the dual domestic and international circulation.
