Provider of Digital Biomarker Analysis Solutions
VCBeat has learned that UltraDx recently announced the successful completion of its first round of financing, amounting to nearly RMB 100 million. Investors included world-leading venture capital firms such as ARCH and GF Holdings. Meanwhile, the company also announced a partnership with Quanterix, a leader in proteomics, to jointly accelerate the clinical implementation of Simoa technology in China.
UdiBio is led by an industry-leading, experienced team and anchored by investment from top-tier global funds, leveraging the globally leading Simoa®Established through the organic integration of the introduction and localization of the digital single-molecule immunoassay technology platform.
Prevention and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a global challenge. The current primary diagnostic approach combines PET-CT imaging with cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) sampling via lumbar puncture to detect protein biomarkers. This method is costly, diagnostically delayed, and causes significant patient discomfort, making it unsuitable for widespread adoption in early screening and diagnosis due to its high economic and time costs as well as poor patient experience.
Simoa technology enables truly digital, ultra-sensitive immunoassays at the single-molecule level. With its attogram-level detection sensitivity, it can accurately detect trace amounts of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) biomarkers in peripheral blood samples, significantly advancing the diagnostic window. Furthermore, its non-invasive sampling method substantially reduces patient discomfort and improves compliance.
Youdi Biotech leverages the Simoa platform to localize detection equipment and reagent products for clinical application. Adopting a hybrid model of “overseas introduction + domestic inception,” with Alzheimer’s disease as its entry point, the company focuses on five major therapeutic areas—neurological disorders, oncology, immunology, cardiovascular diseases, and infectious diseases—to build leading disease screening and auxiliary precision diagnostic products, services, and multi-dimensional application platforms in China and worldwide.
The company now boasts a comprehensive team with functions spanning R&D, technology transfer, manufacturing, clinical registration, quality management, and business development (BD) for clinical research and service collaborations. With strong execution capabilities, the team operates R&D and production centers in Shanghai, Shijiazhuang, and other locations. The company has obtained medical device filing numbers and is accelerating efforts toward the registration of instruments and reagents, as well as service upgrades.
Jay Dong, Founder and CEO of UltraDxstated: “I am delighted and enthusiastic to announce that, by integrating cutting-edge Simoa technology,”Leveraging the first-mover advantage in a blue-ocean market, the Company’s abundant resources, and the funds raised in this offering,The company has taken a significant step toward its mission of making the world healthier and has completed its first round of financing. We are committed to collaborating with leading scientists and clinicians to advance early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and other neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, immune disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and infections, thereby enabling early intervention and treatment.

Regarding this financing,Keith Crandell, Managing Partner at ARCHstated, “We are thrilled and confident about leveraging Simoa to advance early diagnostic research for Alzheimer’s disease and other conditions in China. We will fully commit financial and technical resources to translating this breakthrough technology into products and solutions for research and diagnostics, thereby helping patients and their families worldwide.”
Charles Lin, CEO of GF Holdings (Hong Kong) Corporation Limited“We are excited about this technology and its potential, and we are impressed by Mr. Dong’s passion, energy, and leadership. GF Holdings (Hong Kong) Corporation Limited will fully support this company, which offers solutions for the vast blue-ocean market of early Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis, with the hope that patients will benefit as soon as possible.”
UltraDx Founder and CEO Dong Zengjunstated: “At the same time, we are thrilled about Quanterix’s Simoa technology and its potential applications in clinical diagnostics. We announce that we will join forces with Quanterix to accelerate the clinical implementation of Simoa technology in China. We firmly believe that, leveraging our advantages in blue-ocean markets, supported by top-tier venture capital, built upon a world-leading technology platform, and driven by a team that is both passionate and capable, we will make significant contributions to the early diagnosis of diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, promoting early detection and treatment, and ultimately bringing hope to patients and their families.”
Mr. Masoud Toloue, CEO of Quanterix CorporationHe further added, “We believe that early detection is a critical starting point for disease treatment. The ultra-high sensitivity of Simoa technology enables the early discovery of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) biomarkers that are otherwise undetectable or not detectable at an early stage in blood. We believe that our collaboration with Udi Biologics on IVD product development and commercialization in China will accelerate and improve the early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.”
