Dr. Shaohua Zhou is dedicated to the research, innovation, and clinical translation of medical imaging. He is a Fellow of AIMBE (American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering), IAMBE (International Academy of Medical and Biological Engineering), IEEE, MICCAI (Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention Society), and NAI (National Academy of Inventors). He currently serves as Chair Professor at the University of Science and Technology of China, Founding Executive Dean of the School of Biomedical Engineering, Director of the Medical Imaging, Robotics, Analytical Computing and Engineering Laboratory (MIRACLE) Center, Visiting Researcher at the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Visiting Professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Previously, he served as Chief Imaging AI Expert at Siemens Healthineers Research. He has authored six academic monographs, published over 250 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers, and holds more than 140 granted patents. Dr. Zhou has received numerous awards for his academic achievements and innovative contributions, including the "Oscar of Invention," Siemens Inventor of the Year, Distinguished Alumni Award from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland, and a nominated paper for the MICCAI Young Scientist Award. Committed to serving the professional community, he serves as Treasurer and Council Member of MICCAI, Advisor to the Medical Open Network for AI (MONAI), Associate Editor for top-tier journals such as Medical Image Analysis, IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence (TPAMI), and IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging (TMI), Area Chair for premier conferences including AAAI, CVPR, ICCV, MICCAI, and NeurIPS, and Co-Chair of the Program Committee for MICCAI 2020.
