Maojun Yang, Professor at the School of Life Sciences, Tsinghua University, primarily employs structural biology in combination with cell and molecular biology and biochemistry as research methodologies. His work focuses on the structure and function of proteins involved in cellular sensing of external signals and cellular energy metabolism. Based on the high-resolution structures of these biomacromolecules, he conducts research on the screening and design of small-molecule compounds. He has published more than 70 SCI papers in prestigious journals such as Nature, Cell, and Science, establishing a pivotal position in the field of structural biology of mitochondrial energy metabolism.
